When I first rescued my dog Finn, I had zero history on him. He was found wandering the streets of North Philadelphia. He was a pretty severe neglect case, and although I didn't really know what I was taking on, I took him in as a foster dog.

As a recent new proud father of a baby boy, many pet parents have asked me what the transition has been like from pet parent to pet parent with new child. After about 5 months now, I feel like I have been gaining some pretty good knowledge as to how to answer the questions that arise surrounding a new child in the house with a pet.

I have two amazing Maltese dogs named Princess Mia and Prince Boo Boo. In September of last year, I noticed a smell coming from Boo’s mouth. I brush my dog’s teeth on a regular basis, so I was concerned but not alarmed.
