Bird feed manufacturer Lafeber Co., an Illinois-based bird feed manufacturer, is issuing a voluntary recall on several lots of bird food due to pockets of high moisture that could lead to bacterial or fungal growth.
According to Lafeber, one of the grains used in several products was not properly stored prior to its arrival at the company facility, resulting in moisture pockets to form. These higher moisture levels can lead to bacterial or fungal growth over time.
