I have 7 dogs that I was feeding raw to, but it became way too expensive. I switched to Blue Wilderness because I heard it was a great food. After six months on this food, I can't feed it any longer. 6 of my dogs love it, but one doesn't. The real problem was the constant allergies that it caused. 4 out of 7 of our dogs were miserable. They had constant ear infections and their entire bodies smelled awful. A day after a bath they stunk! I never had this problem when feeding raw.

Comments about Blue Buffalo Wilderness Grain Free Healthy Holistic Chicken Dry Dog Food:

Don't like to wright negative reviews but it might save some dogs from troubles. We had to switch food from Eukanuba's Wild Venison / Potato formula (which disappeared from all retailers at ones). We did it gradually, as supposed to, but little that help. Both dogs start developing rather strong allergic reaction. Strong skin irritation and in case of Dingo spotted loss of fur. Consulted our 30+year experienced breeder, she said that Blue is known been bad choice for St/Poodles. Took of the Blue Buffalo formula and both dogs are recovering good without any medication.

Comments about Blue Buffalo Wilderness Grain Free Healthy Holistic Chicken Dry Dog Food:

I have just started using grain free food for my dog and the comparisons I have are holistic select and flint river ranch. This is my first bag of blue buffalo so I am hesitant to make a snap judgment until I get through the bag. I will say that my 70lb dog has always had intestinal issues and when I started feeding her holistic select they stopped. I've noticed that since we have started this bag she has them again. Not as severe, but some nonetheless. So after I get through this bag and see how her stomach adapts to it i will do an update.

Comments about Blue Buffalo Wilderness Grain Free Healthy Holistic Chicken Dry Dog Food:

We've used many brands before Blue Mountain Wilderness and with all the pet food recalls recently, this product seems to have less "cons" and many more "pros" than any of the other brands. Our cairns, young and old, and special needs, seem to thrive on Blue Buffalo Wilderness products.

Comments about Blue Buffalo Wilderness Grain Free Healthy Holistic Chicken Dry Dog Food:

I have a rescue pitbull that was used as a bait dog(tied up and other pits bit my dog to get blood in their mouths and fired up and ready to fight). I rescued her with scars and scabs all over her body but this food really helped with her skin and make the wounds heal quick and scars look better. She loves this food and cant get enough. She has put on 3 pounds of solid muscle compared to the other food she was eating previously. This is the BEST food available for your dog. She wont even eat anything else after trying Blue Buffalo which means it tastes great, and she doesnt even know how good it is for her.

The Blue Buffalo Foundation for Cancer Research

In 2003 the Blue Buffalo Foundation for Cancer Research and the Pet Cancer Awareness Program was formed to bolster awareness about pet cancer and raise support and money for various clinics and universities that conduct research on the causes of, treatment and prevention of cats and dogs with the disease.

Educating pet parents about reducing the risk of cancer in their pets as well as noticing the warning signs is one of the main functions of our mission. We’ve created a web site at petcancerawareness.org that is committed to providing all kinds of important information like cancer facts, valuable resources and even heartwarming stories about pets with cancer. You can make a donation here.

The month of May is Pet Cancer Awareness Month when we strive to raise funds to help fight against pet cancer. The funds raised are then distributed to organizations like the Morris Animal Foundation, the National Canine Cancer Foundation and others who are involved with cutting edge research on treatments and a cure for this disease. Because pet cancer affects whole families as well pets, we’ve added organizations like the Riedel and Cody Fund and the Kate Koogler Canine Cancer Fund among others. These organizations help pay the high cost of treatments for families who may not have the means to afford their pet’s care.
