[...]the best deal yet. My male cat (19 months old) is allergic to poultry, vennison & grains. No dry food without causing horrible itching til he bleeds. This has been the only product that he can eat & digest without problems. His coat is as soft as a rabbits and he continues to be a slim cat (10 lbs). My other kitty is only 7 months old and is on the same food (she isn't allergic to anything) so this makes it an expensive purchase. [...] It is very difficult to buy this from any other place. I'm very grateful.

This food, like many other pet foods, contains food grade carrageenan. However, studies have shown that after all the processing that pet foods undergo during manufacture, food grade carrageenan results in degraded carrageenan. Just google degraded carrageenan and you will find it is not good for your pet. It is also used in human food, so you probably want to avoid eating any foods which contain it as an ingredient.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Rabbit Formula In Gel Canned Cat Food:

My cat was throwing up constantly. Switching her totally to the Royal Canin Hypoallergenic food has helped significantly. She seems to be hungrier and eats more, and rarely throws up now. It is a good change.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Rabbit Formula In Gel Canned Cat Food:

I actually had someone walk in the house and say "Mmmmm, what are you cooking?" after I opened a can. I did not actually taste it, but I'm assuming it is good, since my cats love it and I think it smells pretty good. I only gave 4 stars (instead of 5) because of the price and the fact that I need to have a prescription to buy it. We started the cats (older) on the diet to help rule out dietary allergies.
