Comments about Blue Buffalo Longevity for Adult Dogs Dry Dog Food:

Caution: So my veternarian told me to go get a low-fat fish based dog food for my hyper-reactive little dog suffering from pancreatitis. This product is aimed at weight loss and may be helpful for that, but it is not particularly low fat (11-12%) and it contains chicken fat, a very bad ingredient for hyper-reactive dogs.

Comments about Blue Buffalo Longevity for Adult Dogs Dry Dog Food:

Our miniature schnauzer is 6 pounds overweight. He was a rescue, so we are not sure of his age, but we believe he's around 9 years old. He seems hungry all the time, and is quite a little beggar. But, our vet has said, he needs to be on a diet. I heard of Blue Buffalo from my brother, who has an elderly lab. He said it's worked well for them, as their dog has more energy and has trimmed down. So, we bought a bag at our local [...], but they didn't carry the "Longevity" I buy food for our other schnauzer at Pet Food Direct, so I searched and found Blue Buffalo Longevity here. Our female schnauzer is a picky eater, and has digestive and skin problems, but because the male schnauzer is getting Longevity, she of course had to try it. I am amazed, as both dogs love this food. I have seen a difference in their coats and skin, and their breath & teeth are cleaner. Our overweight male has more energy and has dropped a whole pound, and he seems more satisfied after eating. The female's skin and coat have improved and both dog's allergies seem to be abating. We've only been feeding them Blue Buffalo for about a month, but I am noticing improvement in all areas.

The Blue Buffalo Foundation for Cancer Research

In 2003 the Blue Buffalo Foundation for Cancer Research and the Pet Cancer Awareness Program was formed to bolster awareness about pet cancer and raise support and money for various clinics and universities that conduct research on the causes of, treatment and prevention of cats and dogs with the disease.

Educating pet parents about reducing the risk of cancer in their pets as well as noticing the warning signs is one of the main functions of our mission. We’ve created a web site at petcancerawareness.org that is committed to providing all kinds of important information like cancer facts, valuable resources and even heartwarming stories about pets with cancer. You can make a donation here.

The month of May is Pet Cancer Awareness Month when we strive to raise funds to help fight against pet cancer. The funds raised are then distributed to organizations like the Morris Animal Foundation, the National Canine Cancer Foundation and others who are involved with cutting edge research on treatments and a cure for this disease. Because pet cancer affects whole families as well pets, we’ve added organizations like the Riedel and Cody Fund and the Kate Koogler Canine Cancer Fund among others. These organizations help pay the high cost of treatments for families who may not have the means to afford their pet’s care.
