I ordered two types and the dogs preferred the Ziwi Peak antler as it had been split down the middle and they could attack the inside and now they are enjoying gnawing it down. It is extremely tough and the first night they wouldn't stop chewing it. The second day though, I think their mouths were sore because they gave it a break for a few days. Now they are back to chewing it throughout the day. They did not care for the other antler which looked like an antler! Yet, I have a feeling when they are done with the Ziwi Peak antler they will resort to the other one. They are expensive but worth it because it takes them so long to finish it unlike the 10 minute stuffed toys which are a total waste of money at our house!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Got this for my 1 year old dachshund. He loves it!! He Chews on it for long periods of time. He's a chewer and this keeps him occupied and he hasn't chewed on other things since we started giving him antlers.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
