Evanger's Classic Recipes Grain Free Beef with Chicken & Liver Canned Dog Food is a veterinarian approved, all natural can food with no preservatives, no artificial colors and no salt added. This is my first dog (Golden) and I've always fed him Evangers. But he didn't always eat the Beef and chicken. Since I've been feeding him the Beef Chicken & Liver he loves it - no leftovers!
Excellent product - human grade food - I would definitely recommend this canned mixer food!

I feed this as a special treat and the first can went down without a hitch. On the second there was some "foreign object" that can best be described as what might have been a chunk of tendon perhaps but it looked like the stem of a mushroom about the size of my pinky. Dog picked this out and set it on the floor looking at me a bit disappointed, it smelled weird and I threw it out understanding why she wasn't too thrilled to finish that meal. Third can, first thing my dog pulled another "foreign object" out that looked the same....white, rubbery consistency and refused to go any further.
This is the first time my dog has refused to eat any wet dog food. I bought this thinking it was a good value but clearly the consistency isn't up there yet. Whatever it was my dog pulled out didn't look like it belonged and it seemed kind of rancid. Thus it looks like we are going back to Evo...not worth saving a couple bucks here.

The dogs were a little happy with this food. My greyhound eats anything, but my small mixed breed seemed to not enjoy it.

This product is healthy and made well for dogs. My picky dog loves it, but its not available in many stores. Ordering it from PetFoodDirect has been easy, less expensive than retail stores (even with shipping) and it arrives quickly!
