Product Information

Humans aren’t the only ones who can get dry, flaky skin. Cats can suffer from it too, which is why Hill’s Science Diet has created a cat food that can help battle this feline affliction. Hill’s Science Diet Adult Sensitive Skin Formula Dry Cat Food contains increased levels of Omega 3 and Omega 6, which are fatty acids needed to nourish and replenish a cat’s skin oils. There is also an egg protein infused within this formula that provides amino acids, the building blocks for healthy skin. Higher levels of Vitamin E and C are also introduced in Hill’s Science Diet Adult Sensitive Skin Formula Dry Cat Food for your adult cat’s healthy skin and coat. Since you can’t rub lotion onto a cat’s skin, this specialized food is definitely the way to go to stop the itches!

Greatly helped

By JBach

Comments about Hill's Science Diet Adult Sensitive Skin Formula Dry Cat Food:

Her skin was itchy and flaky. She shed everywhere she went. She was a stray cat that had mild flea problem. My very first cat so Im not sure how much shedding is normal. However, it was enough loose cat hair to be a nuisance to how i lived prior to having her. The Vet recommended Science diet. This diet assisted with her dry skin and flakes greatly! Her coat is shiny and beautiful now though she still sheds a bit. there is improvement in less than a month with a 3.5 lb bag.

Solved my cat's food allergy problem -- a miracle!

By chemwiz1

from Springfield, VA

Comments about Hill's Science Diet Adult Sensitive Skin Formula Dry Cat Food:

My cat is an 8 1/2-yr-old short-haired domestic tabby who stays indoors. I had fed her Science Diet (SD) Adult Optimal Care Original dry (and its predecessor) all her life and then switched to SD Mature Adult Active Longevity Original dry when she turned 7. She had exhibited itchy skin off and on her whole life, particularly when I fed her fish-flavored food or treats. However, a few months ago, she began to develop terrible sores on her chin and neck that she would constantly scratch and turn into "hamburger." I realized that some treats I'd been feeding her had fish flavor listed in the ingredients even though they were labeled as "beef" or "chicken" flavor. After I stopped giving her those treats, the sores lessened but were still forming, and she was still scratching far too often. After doing some research on the Internet, I decided to try SD Adult Sensitive Skin dry. Two weeks later, the sores had completely disappeared, and the scratching had all but stopped. The sores haven't come back, and the few times she does scratch, I think it's from habit rather than her allergy. I've also noticed that she no longer has dandruff above her tail. SD Adult Sensitive Skin dry is somewhat pricey but well worth the cost. It is truly a miracle how it cleared up my cat's skin and made it less itchy. My cat is much more comfortable in her own skin. Thank you, Science Diet!
