Comments about Blue Buffalo Basics Salmon & Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food:

I bought the Blue Basics salmon and potato dog food after a unexpected 500 dollar vet bill for itching so badly that my german shorthaired pointer broke blood vessels in his ear, requiring surgery. my vet said to get more omegas into him and salmon would be a great start. usually a picky eater, as soon as I poured this into his bowl he chowed it down! what a shock! now even though my vet suggested that the dusty ranch environment we live in may be 75% of the cause of his allergies and itching, dog food could be the other 25%. within two weeks I've noticed the itching is less and his coat is shinier. That and the fact he ate it without other supplements (cookies or sardines) is a winner. Wish the cost was a little less but better than another vet bill!

Comments about Blue Buffalo Basics Salmon & Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food:

My dog Bella is very happy with my recent switch to Blue Buffalo Basics Salmon and Potato, especially once I started to add warm water to it. She immediately laps up the instant gravy it creates. If the sound she makes and the speed with which she eats it all up means anything, I'd say she loves it.

Comments about Blue Buffalo Basics Salmon & Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food:

One of my 7 dogs developed a life-threatening autoimmune intestinal disease and needed a novel protein diet. The whole pack of 7 free-feeds and all had to change to salmon and potato limited ingredient diet after the one beloved dog was treated with chemo, etc. This food has kept the whole aging pack healthy for years, including the affected dog and one 19year old elderly dog. They all love the food and all have good weight and beautiful coats. They eat whenever and how much they please of this wonderful food. In addition, it has kept the affected dog off of an expensive and unpalatable prescription diet and all the hassle of feeding him separately. We love you Blue Buffalo. Keep up the good work. And thanks Pet Food Direct for delivering this fine product to our door for our beautiful pack!!

The Blue Buffalo Foundation for Cancer Research

In 2003 the Blue Buffalo Foundation for Cancer Research and the Pet Cancer Awareness Program was formed to bolster awareness about pet cancer and raise support and money for various clinics and universities that conduct research on the causes of, treatment and prevention of cats and dogs with the disease.

Educating pet parents about reducing the risk of cancer in their pets as well as noticing the warning signs is one of the main functions of our mission. We’ve created a web site at petcancerawareness.org that is committed to providing all kinds of important information like cancer facts, valuable resources and even heartwarming stories about pets with cancer. You can make a donation here.

The month of May is Pet Cancer Awareness Month when we strive to raise funds to help fight against pet cancer. The funds raised are then distributed to organizations like the Morris Animal Foundation, the National Canine Cancer Foundation and others who are involved with cutting edge research on treatments and a cure for this disease. Because pet cancer affects whole families as well pets, we’ve added organizations like the Riedel and Cody Fund and the Kate Koogler Canine Cancer Fund among others. These organizations help pay the high cost of treatments for families who may not have the means to afford their pet’s care.
