My cats love this food, and it seems to help our always hungry non-Siamese maintain her weight (without begging all the time) even better than the Royal Canin Light -- I think because the larger kibble size slows her down. As a plus, they don't get hairballs on this food. When I briefly switched to an "All Natural, Grain Free" diet that smelled awful, the cats had their first hairballs in years, several days per week until I realized it might be the food. I switched back to Royal Canin Siamese and they haven't had any more problems. They seem to like the Royal Canin much better also.

First of all my cats loved this food and I was willing to pay the price. The first ingredient of the original formula was poultry dehydrated (in other words meat excluding the water weight = good). Now however the formula has changed and it is being promoted as a good thing. I will share below the difference comparing ONLY the first 5 ingredients. Bottom line any meat product with water is heavy (1st ingredient of the 'new' formula), without the water it becomes the 3rd or 4th ingredient. Considering this, the food is very expensive for stuff (gluten, corn, wheat) that cats don't tolerate/digest well AND now the first ingredient is a by-product. A meat by-product is what is left over after the healthy good part is taken (Ex. chicken breast taken, scraps remaining is the by-product). This new food formula is similar now to other types of food out there but the price has not adjusted.

Royal Canin Siamese 38 (Original Formula)
1st 5 Ingredients: dehydrated poultry meat, vegetable protein isolate*, wheat, rice, animal fats

Royal Canin Siamese (New Formula) (6lbs $33.49, $5.58 per lb.)
1st 5 Ingredients: Chicken by-product meal, wheat gluten, corn, corn gluten meal, chicken fat

My siamese has allergies. The product did not make a difference in his poor coat. However he likes it the best of any dry food. And the protein is of a high content for his high activity level.

Two Siamese Cats who love this food, eat it well and they are beautiful and healthy.

        Service and delivery comments:

This food is awesome! I have 2 Siamese cats, they both love it and their coats and overall health are beyond reproach.

However, I was hoping to get this at a lesser price than my local pet store, but this price is almost $4/6lb bag MORE than Petsmart! So, no bargain here!
