I switched to a grain free dog food for my 120 lb GSD because he started to have skin problems. I thought grain free food might help. He also had frequent diarrhea and bouts of nausea which made him eat tons of grass. Since switching to TOTW we have not had any of the digestive issues. He still has some flakes of dry skin but doesn't scratch constantly like he was. He does prefer the Pacific Stream formula but I use this formula too for variety. I also mix the dry food with EVO 95% canned food (all varieties) or California Natural Lamb & Brown Rice. I have used other high quality dry and other 95% brands but these are the ones that he will eat. So I am sticking with them.

I switched to this food because i was looking for a lower protein grainless kibble. My golden retriever loved this food and had no problems being on it. However, after 30 days i noticed that his coat was dry and coarse when it previously was soft and shiney. I am going to try another food.

Comments about Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain with Roasted Lamb Dry Dog Food:

My older dog (14) was experiencing problems, diarrhea, started making him raw food and wanted to get him off grain. This food has helped him a lot. I also have a younger dog that likes the food too. The size of the nugets are good for small and medium dogs.

I've used this product for a couple of years and my dog loves it. My friend's dog appears to love it as well. She empties the bowel every time she visits. I just bought her a 30lb bag along with the bag I got for Sasha.

We also use Acana, so I am used to expensive food. However, with it being wheat free, veggies and fruits added , it is much better for digestion, coat and longevity of both my dogs and cats.

My friend recommended Taste of the Wild after doing extensive research for her dog. We both mix Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain 50/50 with the Taste of the Wild Wetlands formula. Both dogs seem to really like the variety of flavors and they keep coming back for more.
