Taste of the Wild has worked wonderfully for my three cats. I have one senior, Miss Scarlett, one mysterious guy, Willoughby (middle aged?), and one stunt cat, Nicki, who will be turning 4 and has health issues. Nicki is the reason I tried Taste of the Wild. He vomits frequently, and has some kidney issues. After systematically trying high quality, prescription, and cooked diets, a friend told me about Taste of the Wild. I simply tried it out of desperation. It worked! I have been feeding it to all 3 cats for 2 years now, and they are thriving on it. Nicki (diagnosed with a stomach disorder that would require steriods to stop the vomitting) still vomits occassionally, but not nearly as often and he keeps his weight on. His coat looks great, too. This food has enabled me to keep him off meds that can cause other health issues with long-term use. I am hoping that I get to keep my daredevil, Nicki, for a long, healthy life thanks to Taste of the Wild!

I got a bag of Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Feline Formula (Venison and Salmon) and my cat really loved it. When the bag was empty I thought I'd try the Canyon River Feline Formula (trout and salmon) to give him another taste experience. That turned out to be a really big mistake. He wouldn't eat the stuff at all. Now mind you my cat is not a finicky eater so if he won't eat this food it must be really bad.[...]So the Canyon River food was returned, I went back to a bag of Rocky Mountain, my cat is eating again and very happy once again if I may add.My suggestion: get the Rocky Mountain formula and leave the Canyon River formula on the shelf at your pet store. If I could have given the Canyon River formula no stars I would have done that.

My two cats were adopted ferals, though they like a cozy bed inside, they prefer the outdoors even in cold/damp conditions of the Pacific NW. My boy started having issues with skin conditions, he was also pulling his hair off his back. I decided to make the switch to grain-free food and I have never seen them look so revived. Their coats are thick and shiny, the fluffiest and vibrant I have seen. It's almost as if this diet has revived their lives of 5 years. Highly recommended.

                  • Q:

Does Taste of the Wild Canyon River dry cat food have corn or soy? I'm asking because on their website it does say so, but I don't see it listed in ingredients. When I read the ingredients for the Rocky Mountain formula, it states specifically no corn or soy.

                    Thanks!
