Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Frozen Bison Diet for Dogs:

My cat has eaten this food exclusively for 2 years. She looks great and her bloodwork is excellent, as she just had it done. However, two years ago, her bloodwork was terrible (anemic, etc.) and it took several thousand dollars of veterinary care to diagnose her with allergies of all kinds, plus calicivirus, herpesvirus, and mycoplasma. She vomited every food until I found this novel protein of bison (plus contains some beef). The cat loves it! So in short, she has gone from an adult weight of 4 lbs, vomiting daily, to over 8 lbs of beauty--everyone remarks on her glowing health and gorgeous fur coat these days, including the vet. I attribute her silky fur and amazing health turnaround to Nature's Variety bison. To me, the feeding part is also easy. Taking out frozen patties from the freezer to the fridge each day is no harder than opening a can of catfood--I just routinely add a few patties into a glass storage container in the fridge after dinner--but what a benefit to my feline's life!

Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Frozen Bison Diet for Dogs:

When my pittie started hobbling around from arthritis in 3 of her legs and one shoulder, my vet recommended going raw. I put my other dog on the raw diet as well, and both loved it immediately. They're also overweight, so I only feed each 1/2 of a large patty (they're 60lbs each, and my pit should be 45, my pointer 50). Because these are frozen, and I don't always remember to defrost one daily, I take two out at a time and defrost in the fridge). I add 1/4 of an apple, 1/4 of a carrot, and raw broccoli or whatever I have in there, just to bulk it up a bit. I also make bone broth once a week (leftover bones simmered for 12 hours in the crockpot) and use that to heat up their patties. Then, for their evening snack, I give each a raw chicken neck (cheapest dog treat going at $9 for about 100!). They wolf those down, too! So far, I've seen no side effects from the raw diet (no upset tummies/gas/bloating, etc.). I can't say the arthritis has abated any yet, but it's only been 3 weeks or so... and as it mimics their natural/wild diet, I'll keep them on it forever.

Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Frozen Bison Diet for Dogs:

I ordered this food when my dog starting itching and scratching his skin. There was hair loss on the legs, tail and hip area. Also, he chewed his back until it bled. After using this food he stopped the itching and chewing and has recoated.
No longer do we have to give allergy shots.
