I found this product at an Natural Products Expo. I am a clinical nutritionist and have a Scottie and a Westie that are prone to skin allergies especially my Scottie who is gluten intolerant. I have to admit I was very skeptical when I was given a sample of this product to try. I went home and made it for the dogs and thought for sure they were not going to like this food. Much to my surprise and delight they licked their bowls clean and then proceeded to look for any leftovers they might have spilled on the floor! They have been eating Honest Kitchen ever since and never get tired of it. I feel relieved that I can serve my dogs great nutrition in raw form without the expense and hassle of fixing it myself. Their groomer says that their coats are the best she has ever seen especially for terriers. I would highly recommend this product for your pets for superior nutrition and convenience!

I have 4 dogs. Two large, two small. All with special needs. I got this primarily because my two large dogs. One has severe allergies. The other has recurring pancreatitis and IBD. All but one of my dogs wolfed this food down. Of course it was the one with IBD that did not. I had to mix in cooked chicken breast to get him to eat it. It looks and smells like rabbit food. I don't understand why a dog would even find it appealing. Mine literally turned up his nose at it. I don't mind going the extra mile and paying more if its going to help them. I pay for dry food, canned, plus home made meals (not to mention medication) and they were still suffering. I was hopeful when I read that a 10lb. box would make 43lbs of food. I go through two 30lbs bags of dry dog food in a month. But on the box it said a 10lb box would only last 10 days for one large dog! And after feeding all 4 of my dogs half their reg. amounts as I am transitioning them for 3 days...the box is more than half gone! I was hoping it would last 10 days to 2 weeks like a bag of dog food. Also one of my dogs is a senior and has bad teeth. He can only eat soft food so I thought this would be okay. He has trouble with this. It gets dry quickly, even after adding water. Its very hard to clean up too...Think caked on oatmeal. I'm going to stick with it for now because I have tried most everything else. I am hoping I see some improvement in their health in order to make it worth the trouble and cost!

Comments about The Honest Kitchen Force Dog Food:

I really love Honest Kitchen. I have 2 Bostons and they do really well on this mix. Only problem is that my little girl is too fat. Will try another Honest Kitchen mix that is better for senior dogs. But I will stick with honest kitchen. LOVE LOVE LOVE this brand.

Comments about The Honest Kitchen Force Dog Food:

Tried Embark first and thought it was too much protein for an 8 year old. So this time I tried Keen. My dog stuck his nose up at first because it wasn't his beloved Embark, but once he took his first bite, he's been doing the same happy dance. I can tell you that both stopped the weekly upset stomach my dog was having; however, I did notice that Keen was producing much more poop. Probably the oats. Anyway, 4 times a day and 2 or 3 times on our nightly walk is way too much. I'm going to try Force this time.

Comments about The Honest Kitchen Force Dog Food:

I was feeding my 3 year old Goldendoodle another well-known dry dog food, which I had read very good things about, but then she stopped eating it one day and would just pick at it. I took her to the vet and nothing was wrong with her so I did some on-line research to see what other foods were out there. I liked this food because it's so natural and it's human grade, which I have never seen before. I also like that the large box doesn't take up as much room as a 30 lb. bag of dog food! From the first time I put the food in front of Sammy until now (two months later) she jumps around like crazy she gets so excited to eat it. She practically inhales it! As long as she is happy, I am happy!

So far all of Honest Kitchens dog food's have been excellent quality. We buy at least three different types of dog food from Honest kitchen per month. Grain Free diets/Love/Embark/Zeal/Force Chicken/ all of which I have rated a 10 out of 10.
