I found this product at an Natural Products Expo. I am a clinical nutritionist and have a Scottie and a Westie that are prone to skin allergies especially my Scottie who is gluten intolerant. I have to admit I was very skeptical when I was given a sample of this product to try. I went home and made it for the dogs and thought for sure they were not going to like this food. Much to my surprise and delight they licked their bowls clean and then proceeded to look for any leftovers they might have spilled on the floor! They have been eating Honest Kitchen ever since and never get tired of it. I feel relieved that I can serve my dogs great nutrition in raw form without the expense and hassle of fixing it myself. Their groomer says that their coats are the best she has ever seen especially for terriers. I would highly recommend this product for your pets for superior nutrition and convenience!

I have 4 dogs. Two large, two small. All with special needs. I got this primarily because my two large dogs. One has severe allergies. The other has recurring pancreatitis and IBD. All but one of my dogs wolfed this food down. Of course it was the one with IBD that did not. I had to mix in cooked chicken breast to get him to eat it. It looks and smells like rabbit food. I don't understand why a dog would even find it appealing. Mine literally turned up his nose at it. I don't mind going the extra mile and paying more if its going to help them. I pay for dry food, canned, plus home made meals (not to mention medication) and they were still suffering. I was hopeful when I read that a 10lb. box would make 43lbs of food. I go through two 30lbs bags of dry dog food in a month. But on the box it said a 10lb box would only last 10 days for one large dog! And after feeding all 4 of my dogs half their reg. amounts as I am transitioning them for 3 days...the box is more than half gone! I was hoping it would last 10 days to 2 weeks like a bag of dog food. Also one of my dogs is a senior and has bad teeth. He can only eat soft food so I thought this would be okay. He has trouble with this. It gets dry quickly, even after adding water. Its very hard to clean up too...Think caked on oatmeal. I'm going to stick with it for now because I have tried most everything else. I am hoping I see some improvement in their health in order to make it worth the trouble and cost!

I have three large dogs - only one would eat this. I tried three different flavors with the same result. I like that you can mix it with warm water for a warm meal on a cold day. Would recommend that you try a small box first to make sure your dog will eat it.

Comments about The Honest Kitchen Force Dog Food:

This is healthy and easy to use (love that you can make a warm meal), however, only one of my dogs will touch it - and she will eat anything. I tried three different flavors with exactly the same results. If your dog will eat it, I think it's a great, nutritious, convenient food.

    Manufacturer

The Honest Kitchen is a private, family owned pet food company located in the heart of San Diego, CA. Our company was officially founded in 2002 in the kitchen of a Beach Cottage. Today we occupy the upper floor of a historic former bread factory. First and foremost, we are a company of animal lovers. Eight or nine dogs ranging from 8lbs Chihuahuas to 100lbs Rhodesian Ridgebacks, join us at our office every day!

Our company began out of a search to find a solution to a problem: How could a fresh, uncooked home-made pet-food consisting of 'people-food' ingredients, be made more convenient and easier to prepare, while still remaining healthy? The result of this labor of love is the product line-up we are proud to offer today.

We love what we do, and we hope your animal companions will love it too!
