I have been a long time user of this product and have been on the auto ship program for some time now. I am now canceling. At first I was very pleased!! Couldn't be happier!! I went to auto ship buying the refill kits on a regular basis. Then a few months ago I noticed that less than half the seeds were sprouting!! More like a third leaving very little grass for my 2 cats to enjoy! I even use a professional plant light to help with the sprouting process. It has become so bad that there is not enough grass to last my cats 2 days!! Then the packaging changed. The seeds use to be in individual packets that you could open one at a time. Now they are encased in separate pockets of the top of the kit but when you peel back the plastic cover all the seeds are exposed making it difficult to pour them into the peat containers without mixing up all the seeds!! A big mess!! Greens are a must for my cats and without them they tend to vomit a lot. Sorry to say I will not be buying this product anymore.

Comments about SmartCat Kitty's Garden Organic Cat Treat:

First, none of the seeds grow worth a darn even after following the instructions to the letter. Secondly, we had to deal with an infestation of small flies coming from the case. Unpleasant at best. Not a good product.

Comments about SmartCat Kitty's Garden Organic Cat Treat:

The only thing I don't love about this product is how easily it molds, more so than any other pet grass I've tried. I recommend using 1/3 less water than suggested in a very dry climate and maybe 1/2 the amount suggested in a more humid environment. When I water it I literally only put a few drops in each cube.

Comments about SmartCat Kitty's Garden Organic Cat Treat:

My cat seemed to really enjoy this, which was great. I read the instructions online--couldn't find them when I got it and only found them (between the planter and the wooden base) when I was throwing the grass away. It grew very fast and was pretty on my coffee table. I will get the refill. The only thing that was not so great was that it turned yellowish like the grass was dying after about a week. (It was during very hot weather.) I watered it I guess too much because then about a week later I noticed quite a bit of mold in the soil, so I threw the plant part of it away. It didn't last all that long, but I guess it could have been the heat. and/or may cat was eating a lot of it. She seemed to really like it! I would recommend it and am very likely to purchase the refill kit.

Comments about SmartCat Kitty's Garden Organic Cat Treat:

We live in a place where my cat has no access to grass. She loves it, eats it daily, and is exhibiting less digestive upset since I began giving it to her. I also give her wild salmon oil in her raw meat/organs diet. The hairballs aren't nearly as frequent now and she's looking great at 15.

I found it easier to lay the seeds in the bottom plastic planter which I poked holes in, rather than using the planter with the four planting spaces. Also, don't overwater, or you'll end up with mold.
