    Most susceptible skin lesions should improve when this topical medication is used as directed. You should notice the affected lesion(s) decreasing in size and any associated discharge should lessen. If your pet’s skin lesion is not improving or worsening, always speak with your veterinarian.

    How is it given?

    1.Clean and dry the lesion(s) that are to be treated. Clip any excess hair before starting treatment.

    2.Spray the prescribed quantity on any lesion(s) that require treatment. Always follow your veterinarian’s specific directions.

    3.If you do not understand how to use Gentamicin/Betamethasone Spray correctly, contact your veterinarian for further advice.

    How does it work? Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that can kill gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria on the skin when it is used topically. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that helps relieve itching and redness associated with skin infection and skin wounds.

    Dose and Administration:Use this medication topically as directed by your veterinarian. If you forget to apply this medication, you can use it as soon as you remember but do not double dose. This medication should only be used on the pet it has been prescribed for.

    Uses: Gentamicin/Betamethasone topical spray is used to treat susceptible skin wounds, infections, and related inflammation.

    Storage:Store in a place away from children and pets at room temperature.

    Possible Side Effects: This medication is usually well-tolerated when it is used topically. If it is ingested, side effects of corticosteroids include increased drinking and urinating. An increased appetite and weight gain, panting, diarrhea, vomiting, and behavior changes can occur less commonly.

    Delayed wound healing and immunosuppression are possible with oral ingestion of corticosteroids especially at high doses.

    Some pets may experience a true allergic reaction to this medication.

    Contact your veterinarian right away if your pet is acting unusual while he/she is receiving this medication.

    Precautions:This topical medication should not be used in animals who are allergic to any of the ingredients.

    Avoid contact with the eyes.

    This medication is for external use only. Prevent oral ingestion of the medication. If steroids are ingested at high doses or for extended periods, premature birth and birth defects are possible especially toward the end of pregnancy.

    Drug and Food Interactions: Discuss all medications and supplements your pet is taking with your veterinarian before you start using this medicated spray.

    If ingested, there is an increased risk of stomach ulcers when corticosteroids are used with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

    Interactions are also possible with aminoglycosides. Other interactions may occur.
