Product Information

English bulldogs with well-informed masters live very comfortable lives. Royal Canin Medium Breed Bulldog (24) dry dog food acknowledges that this dogs of breed are prone to flatulence, due to his or her highly active digestive systems. Highly digestible proteins, starches, insoluble minerals, and balanced fibers help reduce flatulence and digestive upsets. The custom-made kibble is adapted to your bulldog's unique (brachycephalic) jaw. This type of jaw creates teeth that are crowded and may grow in at odd angles, trapping food debris. The wave shape kibble is designed to make it easier to grasp and to encourage chewing. Royal Canin adds ingredients to help reduce the accumulation of plaque and tartar. The heavy, compact body of your bulldog can put extra stress on joints. Glucosamine and chondroitin help protect the joints; omega 3 fatty acids help limit inflammation. The skin on the skull and forehead of the English bulldog falls in dense folds. For the Bulldog’s dermatitis-prone skin, Royal Canin Medium Breed Bulldog (24) dog food includes antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids to strengthen the skin’s protective barrier. It is designed for English bulldogs over 12 months old.

Royal Canin Medium Breed Bulldog (24) Features and Benefits

Comments about Royal Canin Medium Breed Bulldog (24):

Having 2 English Bulldogs, I've tried this product initially as well and have found the pieces to be too large for them to break apart/chew...In addition the smell was not appetizing in the least to them...initially the walked away not wanting to take any part of trying this food (until I tricked them by tossing it in the air like it was a dog treat)...and read the ingredients (dog food analysis)- for what you are paying for when it comes to this food you really are receiving low/poor quality ingredients.

I've switched to wellness core Turkey/Ocean - love both of these! I've also used Holistic Blend - another great grain free company without any recalls. Give either of these a try...trust me, you're pooch will be much happier (tiny kibble size & HIGH quality ingredients).

Comments about Royal Canin Medium Breed Bulldog (24):

My almost 11 years old female English Bulldog is very healthy and active. I have been feeding her ONE Rice and Lamb for years and she has done very well on it except for terrible gas that was getting worse with time. She has been eating Canin Bulldog 24 for about 9 days now and we noticed a difference the first day. Very little or no gas at all. She also loves the flavor and she is picky about food. She has a beautiful coat anyway and it is too soon to say if that will improve even more with this food. The food is pricey and she needs 3 cups of Canin as opposed to 2 cups of her old dog food. The instructions recommended 4 to 4 1/2 cups so we are watching her weight to see if she needs more. If we continue to see such wonderful results we will stick with this dog food.

Comments about Royal Canin Medium Breed Bulldog (24):

I got this food for my stinky little french bulldog. I seems to be for the english but I'm sure the issues are simular for thier toy relatives. The pieces are big but my little bitty bully has no problems scarfing these out her slow feed bowl.(course she also has no problem catching and eating a whole squirrel, I got the head out her mouth never found the rest of it, *shudder*) well deffinatly noticed different foods resulted in different levels of stinky and after just a few days noticable and liveable levels of stinky on this food. Its a good brand and mid-high range price. My cocker spaniel really wants to steal the food from her so thinking I'll try the cocker type on him next.

This is a great product. My bulldog is very sensitive about what food she eats, and this food is easily digestible. Also, I have noticed a decrease in flatulence issues - always a good thing!!

This is a good food for english bulldogs. I think that it makes them a little less gassy and their coats look great. I suppose that they like the taste bc they always eat it all. The only draw back is that it's a little expensive, but I figure you are keeping your dog healthier so it will pay for itself in the long run (and my vet said the same thing).

          Manufacturer

The ethos of the Royal Canin brand is based on its unique vision of the dog and the cat: The conviction that dogs and cats are not human beings but animals, and as a result true respect obliges us to treat them as such. True respect implies certain obligations, one of which is the pursuit of knowledge. To truly know the animal and understand its specific physiological and nutritional requirements, and--in consequence--guarantee it a "tailor made" food in line with its real nutritional needs. Royal Canin's philosophy is therefore deliberately non-anthropomorphic. In the field of canine and feline nutrition, some manufacturers put the owners first and use them as the basis of all innovation. At Royal Canin, we put the dog and the cat at the heart of our research process; this is a radically different approach.
