A raw diet is the closest thing to a cat's natural diet. This food has the nutritional content of raw, in the convenience of freeze-dried. Crush the chunks and add water. Great if you've got to administer meds -- just crush the pill or drizzle the liquid into it. It may be too pricey to feed daily, but feed 3x a week and watch your cat's coat glow! I previously used Nature's Variety freeze dried, which is no longer available. This is a little less expensive. My cats love the chicken.

At first 3 of my 5 cats loved this...then after a couple weeks it seems like "not so much" anymore...I know it's better for them, but it doesn't do anybody any good if I end up throwing it out. And because it is "raw" food it can't stay out for them to nibble. I've refrigerated it a couple times but that seems to be a "no no" for my group and they won't eat it out of the fridge, even if rewarmed. Frankly, it's just too expensive for me to throw away.

Comments about Stella & Chewy's Yummy Lickin' Salmon & Chicken Freeze Dried Dinner for Cats:

Stella and Chewys is the best cat food on the market, particularly the freeze dried. Raw food, including this one, saved my cat's life 6 years ago, she's going on 19 now. Raw is a species-appropriate diet and few other companies use everything, including bones and pro-biotics in their food, like Stella and Chewy's does.

It seems expensive but it goes a long way, cats need less when it's healthy. Also, I give it to my older cat who is a good water-drinker, as a dry food now and then and she just loves it. So if your cat is a kibble head, feed it to them dry! Everyone I've recommended this food to just loves it and their cats are thriving.

Comments about Stella & Chewy's Yummy Lickin' Salmon & Chicken Freeze Dried Dinner for Cats:

Since I have multiple cats, instead of using entire bag to feed one cat, I would add water according to the amount I choose to give the cats. That way, a few cats can share the taste. I would love to see this product to include sauce/gravy since cats LOVE sauce/gravy.

Comments about Stella & Chewy's Yummy Lickin' Salmon & Chicken Freeze Dried Dinner for Cats:

My cat is now 19 and getting him to eat is getting more difficult. On top of that when he does eat he tends to throw it up. My vet suggested a wet food only diet and while that helped the smell from the litter box was enough to clear a small arena. The sales clerk at the health food store suggested this. They do not carry pet food so I looked on line and found this web site. Fantastic stuff, just wish it was not so pricey.
