i wish this thick mattress came for people, too. it's durable and thick, and doesn't wear or give over time (my heavy bulldog has been sleeping on it for 8 months). it's not soft, so I put a blanket on top for her to snuggle into. She has gone through three other mattresses before this one. It's a keeper.
