My dog has allergies to who knows what. So I switched his food to this exact brand and changed his shampoo and conditioner to tea tree oil and it cured everything! He used to have a rash and it is now gone. This brand also has a 5 star rating from dogfoodadvisor.com it's a place where they really break down what's in your pets food! I highly recommend and my dog loves it. I switched to Wellness and I can tell there's no enthusiasm for him to eat it and I know he doesn't like it. I will be a forever Merrick Dog Food Brand buyer!

I have a pug dog that loves your canned foods and one pug dog that has severe allergies. The allergic one loved this food. However, your formulas have multiple proteins in them when I check all the ingredients. Why does it have to have salmon or turkey and chicken if the formula is Buffalo? Buffalo is one of the only proteins she can eat. My dog loved the taste but never stopped itching and after allergy testing, she can't have chicken, or any poultry, lamb or fish, (no fish oil either). So sad I have to switch. Wish you had a Limited ingredient formula for pets who can't eat multiple proteins. I still would recommend this food as it is a good quality food.

Great food for allergy prone pets

Comments about Merrick Grain Free Real Chicken & Sweet Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food:

I bought merrick when I found it was in stores near me for my dogs one of which had food allergies and allergies to chicken needless to say I have no complaints and neither do my rescues and I just now received an English bulldog puppy who I switched to merrick from Iams which his breeder had him on he is so much happier with this and I'm proud to be feeding my pups a healthy well balanced vitamin filled diet and as most bully parents know they are prone to hip and joint problems and feeding merrick was a strong choice because they provide glucosamine and chondroitins which is what my growing pup needs!!!

The Miracle Dog Food

By Molly Marilyn Johnson

Comments about Merrick Grain Free Real Chicken & Sweet Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food:

I own a Pomeranian and have feed her Iams for 8 years. About 4 years ago she started losing her hair. We spent all kinds of money at the vet with no answer on why are dog looked like she had mange. My son owns a Golden Retriver and switched him to Merricks because of his allergies and the allergies quit. I thought lets try it on my Polm and we slowing started taking away the Iams and slowly started replacing it with Merricks. It has been about 7 months now and my Pomeranian now is full of hair. Thank You Merricks you are the wonder dog food.

Great Nutritional Value

Comments about Merrick Grain Free Real Chicken & Sweet Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food:

My 2 beagles are 11 years young and since bringing them home 11 years ago they have been fed nothing but Merrick. They started with the classic because in the beginning I could see the real peas and sweet potatoes. To this day I augment their feed with peas & carrots from my own kitchen. If I try to feed anything else the look at me & question why I would give them anything different. It is the best I have served.

Best value!

By amstaffer

Comments about Merrick Grain Free Real Chicken & Sweet Potato Recipe Dry Dog Food:

My dog seemed to be sensitive to skin allergies with lamb and chicken protein and/or grain kibbles. The vets only proposal was medication or prescription dog food - both costly options. After doing some research about skin sensitivities I decided to try her out on a high omega protein and grain-free kibble. Merrick Grain Free Duck/Sweet Potato kibble has the best quality to cost value (that I could find) among comparable duck or similarly high omega protein kibbles. Even better, my dogs symptoms (numerous small raised tufts of hair all over her body) are gone!
