These little pockets are a life-saver! My female cat has urinary tract infections somewhat regularly. I started off getting these with antibiotic pills (after several days of holding my poor cat down, forcing the pill in her mouth and then holding her until she swallowed it so I didn't find it spit out on the floor somewhere). After she was done with her medicine, I started giving her an herbal that will hopefully prevent bouts of urinary tract issues. No matter the size of the pill, these pockets are amazing. You just put the pill in and then squeeze the pocket around the pill until its covered. My cat loves the taste of the pocket and actually chews up the pill with the pocket without complaint! I love these!

    FYI to all:
They changed the formula, as well as the packaging on these Greenies pill pockets.
I don't know how they are getting away with this--passing off one product for a different one.
Is Heinz ketchup the same as store brand, but they just neglect to tell you? I think not.
The old pockets were great--generously-sized, fresh and nicely squishy (that's a technical term, folks).
They came in the foil pouch--the salmon-colored and gold one for fish and chicken flavors, respectively.
The new kind are completely different.
    They stink!
They are crumbly and inadequately-sized. They might be okay for a treat, but don't work anymore for their intended purpose.
And what's especially aggravating is no notice was given about the change, before or since.
I see all the reviews on here are pre-August 2008 which is when the switch was made.
And I can't find any of the old pill pockets anywhere!
    Big bummer, dude!

Comments about Greenies Pill Pockets Feline Chicken Flavor Cat Treats:

When my cat had to be on medication, these were the only way we could get her to take pills. They are pliable, so it was easy to put the pill in and then pinch the end closed. Plus, she really liked them. The only down side is that she started getting sneaky and eating the treat around the pill and spitting out the pill, but I would just sit with her and continue to form the pocket around the pill until she took it. Glad I had these!

Comments about Greenies Pill Pockets Feline Chicken Flavor Cat Treats:

Love this product. With older cats needing meds several times a day, this makes them come running. I absolutely could not convince my kitties that their bitter pills are not a great treat. Other methods haven't worked. A little, pricy, but well designed and worth every penny. Small doses can be accommodated in half a treat. I tried this after every other method failed, and now it is simple, quick and effective.

Comments about Greenies Pill Pockets Feline Chicken Flavor Cat Treats:

Was very worried about how we would administer pills to a very high-strung, anxious cat. I gave her the first Pill Pocket with no pill, and she loved it. The first time I put a pill in one, I put it on top of her kibble. (We feed her twice a day. She can't free-feed because if we leave food out, she will gain five lbs pretty fast.) She ate the Pill Pocket, somehow spit out the pill, and then she ate the pill by itself! Recommend giving the pill at mealtime, so that if the pill tastes weird or gets stuck, the rest of the food will wash it down. At least that works for this cat, who gets very excited about meal time.
