I like this for my 20 year old cat however you need to make more flavors and something other than a pate style for older cats. Do not include fish items this is bad for older cats (did a lot of research). My cats have been eating Friskies all of their lives my oldest who will be 21 this October has just developed a high thyroid problem, yes she will be fine and is on medication. She has been on medication for about a week now, I just need to get her to gain weight. I would hate to see her switch cat foods to for instance Hills because of her medical condition. Maybe you could look into a formula for putting weight back on cats.

I bought a case of Purina Friskies Special Diet/Beef & Chicken Pate a month ago. My cat ate only a few bites of that first can and walked away. Tried again with a fresh can another day-same results. Please consider making a recipe change for this particular flavor (perhaps with gravy?). Consequently, he likes the other special diet flavors, but he likes variety-so make other flavors, too. Please make a fussy old cat happy! Thanks!

        UTI HELP!!

        By debbiejac2003

        from Oakdale, NY

Comments about Friskies Classic Pate Special Diet Beef And Chicken Entree Canned Cat Food:

I have always bought Purina brand food for my dogs, however, I thought my cats needed a "better quality" dry food (ie. more expensive). Being a dog person forever, I knew nothing about cats. Now, however, after my 1 cat has developed a UTI, I will definitely be trying out the special diet food for him and the other cat. Thank you, Purina, for helping me today.

        Cured my cat's UTI

        By DMCourt

Comments about Friskies Classic Pate Special Diet Beef And Chicken Entree Canned Cat Food:

My last cat had several UTIs in the space of one year. They prescribed antibiotics but the infection kept coming back. I investigated cat foods and saw Friskies Special Diet was recommended for Urinary health. I put him exclusively on Friskie's Special Diet and for the rest of his life (another 8 years) he never had another problem with urinary tract infections. Not ONCE.
