1. Remove collar from protective bag immediately prior to use.

3. Insert end of the collar through the buckle. Adjust the collar around the dog or cat’s neck without tightening it too tight (as a guide, it should be possible to insert two fingers between the collar and the neck).
4. Pull excess collar through the loop(s) and cut off any excess length extending 1 inch (2 cm) beyond the loop(s).
5. Seresto comes with three optional reflector clips that can be attached to the collar to help keep your dog visible at night. The reflector clips should be evenly distributed on the non-overlapping part of the collar.

Cautions: Make sure Seresto fits securely. You should only be able to fit two fingers between the collar and the pet’s neck. Make sure the collar is not loose enough for your pet to put its leg through.

If your pet is not used to collars carefully observe your pet when it’s wearing a collar for the first few days, especially when the pet is not used to wearing a collar. Try using a tasty treat, toy or other activities to distract your dog or cat’s attention from the new collar.

Occasionally slight itching may be observed in animals that are not used to wearing collars in the first few days of fitting. Ensure that the collar is not fitted too tightly.

Please ensure collar is applied correctly. For complete product information and directions for use, please refer to the package insert.

Product is very useful for preventing ticks from attaching to dogs. Flea prevention is good, but does not last the advertised 8 months. I live in South Texas where the tick's are year round and carry many diseases, and would recommend this for tick prevention alone.

Downside is that the collars tend to easily break away, and when dogs play, they can get lost. I recommend using heavy tape around the fastener to prevent this from happening if you have multiple dogs.

Also, not advertised with the collar, but listed in the fine print, is that if dogs are bathed or in water more than once-a-month, the effectivenss will decrease to 5 months, and not 8 months as advertised...however, my dogs are in the water constantly and the collars have seemed to work the full 8 months (for ticks). We did have to begin Comfortis again on some of the dogs that do have severe flea allergies, but not all.

Price is very affordable, comparing monthly topical tick treatment (8 treatments) plus monthly flea treatment(Comfortis pill x 8 months)...calculated over an 8 month period, this saves us about $140 per 8 months per dog.

This is my second time ordering these colllars and will definitely (and HIGHLY) recommend these collars to anyone with a dog/cat!!!

Galadriel was an elf-queen of Middle-earth and the co-ruler of Lothlórien along with Lord Celeborn. She could be referred to as The Lady of Lórien, The Lady of the Galadhrim, or The Lady of the Wood interchangably. Within the realm of Lothlórien, she was referred to as simply Lady Galadriel or The Lady. When she and Celeborn were being referred to collectively, they were known as The Lord and Lady. She was originally named Artanis ("noble woman"# and Nerwen #"man-maiden", referring to her height and strength#. Galadriel is the Sindarinized version of Telerin Quenya Alatáriel, the name given her by her lover Celeborn, meaning "maiden crowned with a garland of bright radiance", which referred to her hair. The Elves of Tirion said it captured the radiance of the Two Trees Laurelin and Telperion themselves. It was greatly admired by Fëanor and may have inspired him to create the Silmarils. The name Galadhriel was used outside Lórien by the people who did not know the ancient days and Galadriel's history, confusing with the Elvish word galadh #"tree"# and the name of the Galadhrim, the people of Lórien.

Excellent new product that works on ticks and fleas.

    By Debra

    from Hudson Falls, NY, USA

Comments about Seresto Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs:

I am usually not one to use collars on the dogs or cat but thought I would give this one a chance so I could let the customers know how it worked for them. Well, I was more than pleased. Not one tick or flea on Bravo, Finn or Lilly(cat) from April till the end of November 2013. Lilly is out hunting all of the time in the woods. Bravo and Finn love to run through the woods as well as through the fields and we have lots of deer all around us. Both dogs and I have had lyme so I really watch for the ticks. Thanks for a great product.

Comments about Seresto Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs:

The past few years we have had mild winters and wet springs!!
The fleas and ticks were sucking our dogs dry. I spent a fortune in
Other flea/tick products. When at our Vet he suggested trying a collar.
I was very septicle, but agreed to try one. I went back within a week and
bought our other 2 dogs one... I am suppose to change out collars in March.
They are worth the cost. Dogs are critter free and happy... I'm happy too!!!

The product didn't work for my dog.

      By freedog

Comments about Seresto Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs:

I was very disapointed with this product. The first thing I did when I purchased it was to give my dog a bath and also made sure she was completly dry before before I put the collar on her. The fleas were back within two days. I gave it a week to work. I gave two weeks. I gave it a mounth with no success. Perhaps this product is effective in some locations. But in southern California near the coast, I found it totaly useless.

My dog has been on Frontline Plus for several years. Only once did I change with disasterous results. He started having seizures while he was on Advantix. It took my vet quite awhile to figure out this problem. It also cost me quite alot. Does Seresto contain any of the ingredients found in Advantix?

The active ingredients in K9 Advantix are Imidacloprid/ Permethrin/Pyriproxyfen. The active ingredients in Seresto are Flumethrin, Imidacloprid. Thus, K9 Advantix and Seresto do have the ingredient Imidacloprid in common, which is an insecticide.
          Thank you!
