My Mini Aussie got a very large bladder stone and had surgery to remove it. 6 months later he had new ones. This is when we switched him to RC Urinary SO. 6-8 weeks later they were almost completely disolved. We are staying with this product because it works. Best part is he likes the taste aas well. It is also less expensive than the first product we tried. you get our paws up on this product. Thanks Merlin and Lee

Vet suggested it. I looked at the ingredients and was mortified. 14% protein!! These are dogs, designed to eat meat, not corn, wheat, etc. I'd rather my dog on an actual holistic food that is designed to heal (and help) you pet like Orijen, Acana, or Wellness Core.

My dog loves this stuff. My vet recommended this food and told us how to switch out. Once we put this food in with his old food, he would pick out the new one and leave everything else behind. Happy camper.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Urinary SO 14 Dry Dog Food:

I have been primarily using the wet food and decide to purchase the dry to stretch my dollar.

I am happy there is a food we can purchase for our special needs dogs. Buzzy had a stone so we are trying this food to make sure he doesn't get another one. Being this food is so expensive compared to others, I purchased the kibble and only put a spoonful of the wet food on top. I am hoping to stretch my dollar here as the kibble is quite expensive too. Being that Buzz is only 10.5 lbs I can afford this food. If I had a 150 lb dog, would be living in the dog house with the dog cause I wouldn't be able to afford anything else. LOL. Food is sufficient and we are in the testing phases with the vet. so far, so good for about 6 months.

I got this for my dog bc she has small crystals in her urine, which are caused from a bladder infection. The vet prescribed this and it was considerably less expensive to purchase here than it was at their office. I have a boxer and she loves it! Her urine is less discolored and she seems to be doing better.
