If this product expensive? Yes....but you get what you pay for. Knowing you can feed this product and not have to worry about your cat developing more urinary tract issues is: PRICELESS! I spent $1700 in vet bills before I found this product. There are others that claim to be sensitive to the needs of cats with urinary tract issues but don't do any better at preventing problems that any other ordinary food. This product actually does what it promises, no ifs ands or buts! Terrific product and my picky eater car loves it!

After my cat got crystals the first time my vet told me that my cat would only be able to eat RC Urinary SO and basically said it was "mericle food". So I listened and only fed this prescription food. But only 6 months later my cat got crystals AGAIN. I then switched him off the vet food completely and onto raw and havent had a single health problem with him since. Also, I thought high salt content in diets cause other health issues like high blood pressure? which in turn causes kidney failure? hyperthyroidism? congestive heart failure?

My cat had gotten his first UTI 3 years ago and I changed him too the S/O food but it was very difficult to pay so much for food. He is so worth it but you feel like you don't have a choice. After 2 1/2 yrs. we hit a major hardship and changed his food. Sure enough, he ended up with another UTI and a big medical bill. When I changed his food to store boughten, something inside me told me don't do it, budget for his Rx food. Lessoned learned....plus I felt terrible he was miserable and probably in pain. Never again...

I'm a veterinary technician and started using this product for my mom's cat that was having constant urinary tract infections. Once starting to feed this product she never had another UTI. Feed both my neutered male cats this food, and don't worry about them having a problem.

My two cats love it. Me vet recommended it for my older one who has Chronic Cystitis. A little pricey but worth it.
