I took home a sample box that had all the new styles and flavors in it. My cat, Ozzie, who would not eat any of the renal diets (no matter who made them), loves these new flavors and textures. He does not even stop to beg for the Friskys anymore when I open a can for the other cats. Ozzie prefers the wet food, particularly the two with the gravy. As far as the dry, he is willing to eat it over any other dry food. Both the new wet and dry creations are a win win with Ozzie! Now I don't have to worry about what he will eat. Thanks!

At first, I was elated that my little guy loved this food. As all CRF 'parents' know, the low protein diets are not at all appealing to our felines. When these first came out there was a different one that he seemed to like better. That was discontinued and E, T and D were put out for wet food. I've been buying these for a few years now and have noticed major inconsistencies in the quality of the food. The colour/odour/consistency (eg. sometimes the food has other unprocessed pieces of 'meat' in them). issues are too frequent. I've experienced this before with Medical Royal Canin. I think the company needs to have more rigid quality control standards to ensure that each batch is consistently of a high quality. It's one thing to have a pet that has to be on a restricted diet, but please try and at least make the food palatable for them. Whatever you were doing 2+ years ago was working but has now gone downhill. It's very difficult justifying paying so much for something when I don't feel confident in the product anymore.

That said, every 3 batch seems to be 'ok'. Hopefully this works for someone else's felines!!

Chunks too big, not enough gravy

By Zozo

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Renal Support D Morsels in Gravy Canned Cat:

My vet suggested this for my senior cat who is starting to have kidney issues. There was no sample for me to try, so I ordered a whole case. Unfortunately, my cat doesn't like it. The pieces are too big, and there's very little gravy. I have to mix it with other wet food, and even then she eats around it. Wish I had been able to try it out before buying a whole un-returnable case.

Feline Renal Support D

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Renal Support D Morsels in Gravy Canned Cat:

I just received a trial box of Renal Support from my vet. I tried the "T" can with no success. Threw it out. The cat eats pate. "D" is also bits of food, so I pureed it. The cat ate it last night and a little this morning.

Finally a renal diet my cat will eat!!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Renal Support D Morsels in Gravy Canned Cat:

This food is wonderful. I tried two other prescription kidney diet brands before I found this one. My 18 year old loves it almost as much as regular canned cat food. She's eating great and feeling great! We did try the other two flavors that Royal Canin offers and this one is by far the clear winner.
