Product Information

For Small breed adult dogs living indoors, every day is like a rainy Saturday, and these dogs need a tasty diet that meets their true nutritional needs. Because his dwelling area is confined, your dog's daily energy output may be very low. Royal Canin Mini Indoor Adult (21) Formula Dry Dog Food provides an appropriate balance between calorie intake and the actual energy requirements of a low activity small breed. This domestic lifestyle, with its lower activity level, increases the risk of obesity in some small breed dogs already predisposed to extra weight gain. Royal Canin Mini Indoor Adult (21) Formula Dry Dog is a customized food for dogs with hyper-digestible proteins, plus a balanced fiber blend, to ensure maximum digestive comfort. Lack of exercise can also slow intestinal transit, contributing to poor digestive health. Royal Canin’s recipe supplies ingredients that help to limit the amount and stool odor in dogs living exclusively indoors. Right down to each customized kibble, Royal Canin puts your small breed dog's overall health first, with the kibble’s brushing effect that reduces the formation of dental plaque and tartar. Recommended for dogs from 11 months to 8 years of age

Comments about Royal Canin Mini Indoor Adult Formula Dry Dog Food:

Beasley was a very picky eater with many stomach issues. She now gobbles up her royal canin and her stool is extremely normal and regular. I used to buy the 3lb bag at the store for [$] each. It was pricey but she's worth it. National pet pharmacy has made it convienant for me to get the 15lb bag which lasts longer and also cheaper in the long run!

Comments about Royal Canin Mini Indoor Adult Formula Dry Dog Food:

I have an Australian Terrier that I adopted when she was 5 months old. I've owned this breed for over 12 years and have never had a dog like her. She constantly pooped in her crate, peed in her crate...was just a "dirty dog" in that she didn't care that she soiled where she slept. I started feeding her in the crate...that didn't work. I did round the clock monitoring, taking her out every half hour to go potty, praise praise praise, same route every time, same spot every time. She would go outside, but she'd still soil her crate. I didn't understand it.

A vet friend recommended this food for its "lower output". At this point I was willing to try anything. I'm not going to say the food is the only reason this dog stopped soiling her crate...but she has stopped soiling her crate. She went from pooping several times a day both outdoors and in the crate to pooping once in the morning, when I take her out.

She likes the food and that's great too, and PetFoodDirect.com is the only place I've been able to find the large bags. She's a small dog (under 10 lb) but this food has a zip closure to keep it fresh so you can take advantage of the economy of scale. And my little no-longer-dirty dog just loves the food.

Comments about Royal Canin Mini Indoor Adult Formula Dry Dog Food:

My 1 1/2 yr old pomeranian has been of Royal Canin since she was able to eat hard dog food and it has paid off. The food is nutritional, makes her coat silky and smooth and seems to be satisfied. The transition from the Royal Canin puppy food to adult food was easy, she seemed to like both equally. I recommend "mini indoor adult 21" to anyone with a small indoor dog that has moderate activty. This food is more expensive than "gravy train" or "kibbles n' bits" but the extra costs makes up for the nutritional value that isn't in those.

The more common foods from the shelf at the grocery store have lots of fillers and added coloring that tears up your dogs tummy and may have low quality nutrition. We did switch our baby over to "kibbles n' bits" for a short time to see if we could get by with an inexpensive food. She hated it, barely wanted to eat it and when she did, she had red and orange diarrea from all of the food coloring and fillers and it was so smelly. With Royal Canin, her stool is regular and little to hardly any odor. I highly recommend this dog food :)

Comments about Royal Canin Mini Indoor Adult Formula Dry Dog Food:

I chose this food because we had a "dirty dog" situation where our puppy just didn't care if she soiled her crate. At our wit's end we switched to a "low-output" food...and this food fit the bill. What was not so great was that we could only get small bags at the local pet stores and/or the big pet stores, and they are EXPENSIVE. Granted, she's a small dog, but still. Finding a place like petfooddirect.com where I could buy a larger bag, at a better price[...]. Now Sunny never has to worry that we won't be able to find her food or go broke feeding her.

              Manufacturer

The ethos of the Royal Canin brand is based on its unique vision of the dog and the cat: The conviction that dogs and cats are not human beings but animals, and as a result true respect obliges us to treat them as such. True respect implies certain obligations, one of which is the pursuit of knowledge. To truly know the animal and understand its specific physiological and nutritional requirements, and--in consequence--guarantee it a "tailor made" food in line with its real nutritional needs. Royal Canin's philosophy is therefore deliberately non-anthropomorphic. In the field of canine and feline nutrition, some manufacturers put the owners first and use them as the basis of all innovation. At Royal Canin, we put the dog and the cat at the heart of our research process; this is a radically different approach.
