I had problems with my Beagle/Mix finding a food that would both keep her bowels healthy and keep her interested. Usually after two weeks on any given food she would either develop IBS symptoms or when her stomach was fine, usually lose interest in eating which is highly unusual for a Beagle which is a highly food-oriented breed. Even after trying a RAW and BARF diet for her there was no change and she always had inconsistent bowels. After ONE day on this food.... with the addition of a Honest Kitchen (Perfect Form) supplement my Beagle is finally on track. She always cries for her food when I prepare it (no loss of interest) and her stomach is happy as well as her Bowels being Healthy. If your dog has yucky tummy aches... try me!

Texture change
Product ingredients appear to have changed, causing the texture to become extremly soft (almost soup like). Difficult for my older dogs to grab to eat.

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Intestinal Low-Residue Canned Dog Food:
This low residue food was recommended by my vet after trying many other products. We were looking for something very low fiber, which is how my dog responds best with her colitis. PetfoodDirect makes it so easy to order, they obtain a prescription from the vet, and delivery comes in about 2 days, well packed with no damage to the cans. Good product and good service, I would recommend it to any dog owner who is grappling with this perplexing problem of colitis in dogs.
