Product Details

While your dog may not feel the embarrassment of problem skin, she certainly does not feel comfortable about the itching and irritation. Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat Response KO Dry Dog Food can help in as little as three weeks to manage your dog's itching and scratching through nutrition. IAMS has developed this formula for the dietary management of your pets skin and coat health. It is highly digestible with superb palatability. Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat Response KO Dry Dog Food contains micro-cleansing crystals that enhance dental, and consequently, overall health, by working across the whole mouth during and after meals. It restores nutrients for a healthy skin and coat. In addition, it supplies optimal levels of linoleic acid to reduce your dogs susceptibility to skin inflammationWhether your pets sensitivities are from food, his environment, or both, this veterinarian-developed diet can promote a healthy skin and coat. The nutrition in Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat Response KO Dry Dog Food features an adjusted balance of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, which manages cellular inflammation. Adverse reaction to food is limited with the novel protein sources of kangaroo and canola meal, and a novel carbohydrate source of oat flour.

*Please Note: Due to change in legislation in the state of California, products containing Kangaroo will no longer be permitted to be sold to consumers in California.

My dog was having all kinds of skin issues--folliculitis, staph infections, irritation and rashes, you name it. I took him to the dermatology specialist at Texas A&M Veterinary Med Hospital and was able to get his issues under control. Due to his allergy to most proteins, we had to find something different...kargaroo it is! He loves it and it has made a world of difference.

Our 1 year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is eating ONLY this Iams kangaroo and oats, and while she improved initially, now she is still scratching until she bleeds. No problem whatsoever with service or delivery. . . The issue is that she has other allergies ( dust mites, etc. ) and will need desensitization injections. I wish this had been the answer. Poor doggie! Bottom line- try it if your vet recommends it.

Sad this is Discontinued! Saved my Little Yorkie!

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat KO Dry Dog Food:

My little Yorkies has been on this food for over 8 years. This is the only thing he can keep down. Other foods he can not digest. He never gets treats or anything else to eat so switching his food is heart breaking! I am so nervous to do this but unfortunately have no choice. Thanks for all the good years. I hope we can find something else that will work and keep him healthy and out of the emergency vet!

Sad this will no longer be made

By bummer123

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat KO Dry Dog Food:

I heard that IAMS sold off their veterinary formulas to Royal Cannin. I am very sad to hear this, since Royal Cannin does not carry anything compatible. This food has done an amazing job of helping to alleviate the itch and sores are dog would get due to his allergy to chicken, duck, turkey and corn. Any recommendations on other options to try?

BEING DISCONTINUED??

By For Rosie

from Honolulu, HI, United States

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat KO Dry Dog Food:

I have been searching for the perfect formula for my Dalmatian Lab who has had ear & skin problems for more than 10 years off and on. One thing that was most constant was the ear infections. I've tried it all....meds, raw feeding, allergy testing and process of elimination of proteins and additives. After much much research, I tried this your kangaroo and oat diet & it is a miracle! I just started this food and have been feeding her about 3 months now.....after 2 weeks her ears were clearing. Her coat and skin is so much better. I am so sad, as this whole process is stressful for my dog. She has been so much happier and at peace.....now I will have to search again! I am disheartened.

We started feeding our English Lab this food about a year ago because all other food seemed to give her rashes. She loves this food and we have not experienced anymore problems with her. Now I found out you will no longer be making this food and I am very upset about this. Please reconsider and continue to ,ale this food. I know a lot of people that love this product for there dogs now. Praying for a miracle.
