Product Information

Jawrobics fitness and fun for dogs. World's best dog chase & chew toys! Stuff with your dog's favorite treats! Kong Dog Toys are widely used and recommended for therapy and prevention of understimulation, boredom, separation anxiety and other behavioral problems. Following are some simple ways Kongs can be utilized to promote good behavior in your dog.

Stuffing a Kong
Step One: Start with a clean Kong toy appropriately sized for your dog. For example, small breeds need medium sized Kongs for stuffing.
Step Two: Place a small morsel of freeze-dried liver, peanut butter or cheese into the little hole on top.
Step Three: Fill approximately one-third of the cavity with doggie treats such as biscuits, marrow bites etc.
Step Four: Fill the last two thirds with canned food or food roll mixed with food nuggets.
Step Five: Leave a nice tidbit sticking out of the opening. The easy pickins will provide an immediate pay off and entice your dog to get serious about the job.
It is important for dogs to succeed at their work.

My dog loves Kongs and has had several over the past few years. Why several? Because he's 9 pounds and can destroy a small Kong in about 6 months. I really wish they'd make the "tough" version in the small size! He does love them though so I just keep replacing them. I make my own dog biscuits and use those to stuff the Kong and when he wants one, he tosses his empty Kong at me. =)

We bought our Boston Bull Terrier one when he was a pup, we loved it because he is quite a chewer and it held up. The hole on the bottom was just large enough to stuff with small puppy biscuts, we could fit 6 to 8 in. Now the holes are larger and too big to hold the smaller biscuts and they have eliminated to nubs on the outside. Bring back the originals please.

Great way to keep a chewing pup busy. Throw some treats in it or a little PB. Makes them use their noggin-- smart pups are the best pups.

I wish I had invented the Kong. Best invention ever. I fill it with treats and peanut butter, freeze it, and then give it to my dog. Keeps her occupied for a good while and she loves working to get the treats out. Must-have.

One of the most well known standard chew toy.

Why it's great and a favorite...

          1) Natural Rubber

          2) Sustainable and durable; withstands very strong chewers

          3) Able to add treats, peanut butter or the Kong specific treats for hours and hours of stimulation!

              Q&A

              Manufacturer

              The KONG Story:

KONGs story began with a German Shepherd named Fritz, his owner, and a Volkswagen van. Fritz, a former police dog, enjoyed chewing rocks. This activity wore down his teeth and frustrated his owner, Joe Markham. One afternoon while working on his Volkswagen van, Joe noticed Fritz dining on rocks once again. Out of desperation, he started disassembling the van he was working on and threw parts near Fritz to see if he could be coaxed away from his destructive dinner. Radiator hoses didn’t work--neither did anything else until he pulled off a rubber suspension part and tossed it to Fritz. Right away, Fritz was ecstatic.

The KONG was born! While Fritz invented the KONG, it was Joe Markham who saw the potential of this odd-looking toy. Markham refined the toy’s design, developed a proprietary, super-strong rubber formula and began production in 1976.
