I have to admit, when my cat, Crookshanks was diagnosed with a disorder that called for wet, canned C/D for what will probably be the rest of his life I was pretty nervous. First, he was used to dry food for his whole life, second, I would have to feed him now at specific times of the day, and third, if he didn't like it....well, what was I going to do? Well, he really does love the chicken flavor and has adjusted nicely. He knows when it is time for him to eat next and can't wait for his C/D. I really got lucky. I was so worried that he wouldn't like the taste. I haven't had any experience with the other flavors, in my area the retailers only seem to sell the chicken flavor. He has been on this food for about 6 months. I would say that it has helped with the condition of his hair and skin as well. He seems much happier being on the C/D. Let's hope it stays that way! It is also nice that the Hills website offers coupons every so often to help with the price of the prescription food price. Since starting Crookshanks on the prescription food I have started my other cat, Degan, on a wet food diet as well. He has had a weight issue for a long time and I have come to realize that it has probably been because I have been free feeding dry food for so long. So I have started feeding him Science Diet Light. The food has helped his fur and skin as well, he no longer has as much dry skin and shedding and has lost a few lbs! He loves his Science Diet :)

My cat has been eating this for about 9 months due to a crystal problem. It did the job of getting rid of the crystals, but I'm not impressed with the quality of the food. Pork by-products as the first ingredient? yuck. Prior to this, he was eating premium quality food with no by-products or unnecessary fillers which cost less than this food. After eating the Hill's C/D, his skin and coat quality has gone down hill...a lot. He hardly used to shed at all, and now there's cat hair everywhere. His coat is dry and dull and he sheds like crazy all year round. My other cat, who continues to eat a premium food, does not have this problem.

My cat has UTI's and requires this food. I wish there were more coupons or sales. He prefers regular (over the counter) wet food however has to eat mostly this. He does not like the fish flavor.

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare with Chicken (Minced) Feline Canned Food:

The cost is too high for someone that lives on a fixed income. My cat will not eat the dry food.

My cat enjoys it!

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare with Chicken (Minced) Feline Canned Food:

My cat, Tigger, was put on this strict prescription food diet for the rest of his life. He seems to love both flavors (Chicken & Fish) of the wet food. Also, he's eating the dry food which I think is chicken flavored. I give him both flavors so he will have a slight variety. I only wish the food wasn't SO EXPENSIVE. I have found a couple of coupons online which has been helpful. I hope I'll be able to continue getting coupons from the Hill's website to cover some of this expense. Also, I wish more vets carried the products because I'm limited in the places that I can buy it unless I buy online but the shipping is too high.
