Product Details

Is your feline companion trying to tell you something? If your pet is having accidents at home, it may be a sign of lower urinary tract disease. Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Feline Dry Food furnishes an antioxidant bundle including Vitamin E and beta-carotene, which counteracts oxidative stress, and generates an environment unfavorable for the development of uroliths. High omega-3 fatty acids help break the inflammatory cycle associated with uroliths, crystals, and feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC).
  • Treats urinary tract disease
  • Management of bladder health
  • Supports healthy immune system

My male Maine Coon cat had crystals about 3 years ago, went into kidney failure and almost died. The vest prescribed Hill's C/D and he's been eating it ever since. He likes it, and has had no recurrences. The vet said it was okay to feed C/D to our other two male cats, one of whom has medium black hair and we've noticed a change in his coat since he's been eating C/D. His coat is beautiful now! Two of our cats love C/D canned, but the one who had crystals will only eat the dry food. Go figure!

Works great to prevent bladder stones but has fatty content as a result. This leads to overweight cats even when they are moderately active. Also, skin irritation develops (dry skin leads to scratching leading to infections). Recommend antihistamine supplements if this develops, seems to work well to prevent this if a cat has food allergies that this product acts upon. Needs better nutrition quality, possibly a different lower fat base product an more reasonable price. Many get stuck paying ridiculous prices because of a need for a product. Supply and demand I suppose...

THIS PRODUCT WORKED.

By LEON

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Feline Dry Food:

OUR MALE CAT WAS HAVING TROUBLE URINATING AND WOULD ONLY PRODUCE SMALL AMOUNTS EACH TIME HE WENT AND IT TOOK HIM SEVERAL MINUTES TO PRODUCE THESE SMALL AMOUNTS IN HIS LITTER BOX. A COUPLE OF TIMES HE WENT OUTSIDE OF HIS BOX. THE VET SAID TO PUT HIM ON C/D PRESCRIPTION DIET TO RELIEVE THE INFLAMMATION AND CRYSTALS THAT HAD ACCUMULATED IN HIS BLADDER. IN 2 TO 3 WEEKS HE GOT WELL AND PRODUCES NORMAL URINE AMOUNTS IN A NORMAL AMOUNT OF TIME. HE HAS GAINED THE WEIGHT BACK THAT HE LOST FROM THE STRESS HE WAS UNDER. THIS FOOD HAS DONE WONDERS.
