Sadie began with small patches of fur coming off her coat, she then began to get dry white patches of skin all over her belly and under each leg as well as down her back legs. With this began tremendous itching as well as redness. Her ears began to get itchy and painful along with her eyes getting red and itchy. Sadie was a mess, and she was miserable! This new diet began working immediately, with all symptoms cleared quickly. She is now back on regular afffordable dog food...problems again! We will have to bite the bullet and pay the higher price to keep her healthy and comfortable..and.......she's worth it.

I like this one better than the Royal Canin version that my dog couldn;t care less... Even though is the same price my dog still doesn't love eating it, I can tell it smells better and has smaller pieces which has worked better for my 4 month puppy.
I wish there was a way to make this formula better since it's my only choice, and it's hard to be forcing my dog to eat it, she can go for a couple days withput eating any before eating this food but then she gets sick... I will recommend it only as a last resource, Works better if mixed with the Wet version of it, I use it as a treat to bribe Buggy to eat

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Ultra Allergen-Free Canine Dry Food:

We have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, one of which has allergies. This food has worked well for both dogs. The one that has no known allergies does have irritable bowel syndrome and has benefitted with reduction in symptoms using Hill Prescription Z/D Ultra

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Ultra Allergen-Free Canine Dry Food:

Our little guy was diagnosed with IBD. Hill's lab suggested ZD to our Vet. He loves the canned and wants to eat the dry, but it is too big for him, he needs small bites. Won't you please provide a ZD dry product for smaller dogs. My little guy is a Toy Poodle. He has a very small mouth.

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Ultra Allergen-Free Canine Dry Food:

Timmy is a dog that came into my life unexpectedly, a rescue, he was a mess had to start him with a bunch of medical tests because he had no fur in his belly area, ears were nasty and full of discharge and he smelled like something had died on him, after having him on antifungals, antibiotics, allergy pills, fish oil capsules, steroids (to help relieve the itchiness) and even a medication that is given to human patients after an organ transplant, poor Timmy he was a trooper even ofter having to bath him every other day for about 6 month with medicated shampoos, he started to improve some, but then he got started on the z/d food and about 3 month of being on that food I was able to start tapering him off of all of the meds, now he only itches once in a while, does not smell and the only other supplement that he gets at all is the fish oil capsules. Let me tell you it was a struggle before when we traveled I had a pharmacy for him but now after 2 years of only eating z/d fur has started to grow again and is as happy as he can be. DON'T LOOSE HOPE, skin issues take a while to see results but stick to it they will improve and in the long run will be cheaper. =)
