This worked really well for my patient! Was able to dissolve a struvite bladder stone in 4 weeks based on radiographs. My patient was notably more comfortable within a week and loved the taste per the owner! Will definitely try this in the future for suspected struvite bladder stones vs going straight to surgery!

My cat really liked the wet food to begin with, lapped it up!. Downside is that you get 24 cans of the same flavour - liver! Is there not other flavours? Surely considering how expensive this product is compared to normal commercial cat food that there should be a variety of flavours (chicken, turkey, fish, prawn) to keep our cats interested. My cat went off the wet food a few weeks ago and hardly eats it now. Thank goodness I've also got the dry food as well.

Both of my cats HATE the canned version!

    By IHinMD

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet s/d Feline Canned Food:

One of my cats developed crystals and was placed on the Hills Urinary Care s/d canned and hard food. Since I have 2 cats, the vet wants them both to eat this. They both HATE the canned food. The cat with the illness will eat the hard food, but no matter what I try neither will eat the canned food. I think if this product were made of a fish flavor, like Ocean Whitefish, Salmon, or Tuna, they would potentially eat it. My vet wants us to force out cats to eat this by essentially not giving much hard food (1/8 cup for both!), but that doesn't fly with me. My cat seems to be doing great! I'm thinking that just eating the hard food and more soft food along with the meds probably did the job anyway.

    My cat won't eat it.

    By Smokies dad

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet s/d Feline Canned Food:

I bought s/d cat food per my vet's instructions. My cat ate it the first two days, and ever since he will not come near it. I've tried mixing in some broth or bits of chicken (which he loves) and he still won't eat it. I tried dry s/d as well to see if he would eat it, and he rejects that too. While the flavor may be acceptable for some cats, unfortunately my cat won't touch it.

    S/D Feline

    By Tanner

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet s/d Feline Canned Food:

Our beautiful boy had two bouts of bladder problems before he was diagnosed. The S/D wet and dry keeps him problem free. He was a year old when diagnosed, and we thought we were going to lose him. He is a happy, healthy 7 year old now. We appreciate the discount coupons from Hills.

My Lewie loves this and it helped urinary issues

    By Stacyanne866

    from portland, OR

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet s/d Feline Canned Food:

Been using this item as prescribed by his Vet. Lewie was in a lot of pain and was having accidents on a daily basis. I knew it wasn't behavioral. After several visits to the Vet, we were recommended this diet for him. We feed him both the wet food and the dry companion of the Urinary Diet.". It took a couple of weeks, but he is happy and healthy again! He also likes the taste.
