When I adopted my now 4 year old cat Charlie, he had unexplainable digestive problems that caused his going to the bathroom to be, well, messy. Unmanageably messy. I took him to the vet where the prescribed pills, supplements, did tests, and prescribed a small bag of Hill's prescription w/d cat food. They told me when everything was gone, to switch Charlie from the kitten food he has been eating to regular cat food. His condition improved.. until I changed his food.

I took him back to the vet, they repeated the same process, but this time we got a larger bag of food. When all of the pills and all of the medicine was gone, I continued him on the w/d food indefinitely. His condition never returned. I spent over $350 in vet bills just to find out Charlie needed this food.

I have never and will never feed Charlie any other food.

A year ago I adopted my cat Carlos and he was about a year old when I got him. He seamlessly started eating the same w/d food as Charlie. They are both happy and healthy cats!

(Also, I don't know if this is a testament to the w/d food or not but, both of my cats eat only their dry cat food. They do not crave wet food, the do not like people food, they do not beg!)

Product is great. My cat has not had issues since she has been on it. The package was the problem. a major portion of the pellets were ground up so there was lots of crumbled dust in the bag. i have to run it through a strainer to get off all the dust to feed my cat her portion.
this has never happened before. Fedex was delivery method.

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet w/d Feline Dry Food:

My 6 year old cat had a urinary tract and blockage 3 years ago and since giving him W/D he is fine. I have given it to a outside cat that lives on my porch (Her choice) for 4 years and didn't have other dry food and I tried this and she will not eat anything else. My Park Avenue stray.

Hill's got my cat off insulin

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet w/d Feline Dry Food:

Before my vet put my cat on Hill's w/d, my cat was overweight and insulin dependent, 2 shots per day. On the diet, his weight began to drop, and after a few months, the vet reduced his insulin. After one year on Hill's w/d, my cat was at optimum weight and insulin free. His glucose level became so stable that the vet eventually stopped checking it. That was four years ago. Now, I only feed my cat Hill's w/d. It does seem a little pricey, $55 - $60 for at 17.6 pound bag; however it lasts 3 - 4 months; which is about $15 - $20 a month. That's cheap compared to the $200 a month I was spending for vet care and insulin supplies. The best part of using Hill's w/d though is that my cat is healthy and happy!
