Helps my 9 year old in-door cat cope with her food allergies. She is actually a great deal better! She is so allergic to most foods that if she eats a crumb of people food she will get a miserable yeast type infection in both of her ears and her back claws will get fungi infections!! Z/D has helped keep her symptoms in check! She gets 1/4 cup of Z/D only, twice daily, in her automatic food feeder and is 10x more active and playful then when she was a kitten!! A healthy cat is a happy cat!!

My vet prescribed my cat, Milo, the z/d formula in 2012, and for the past 4 years, Milo has been healthy and happy. He loved the food and would be sure to remind me when it was time for his next meal. Ever since the improved formula was introduced, Milo has stopped eating. He's even lost a couple of pounds because he apparently only eats enough to survive. I took him for his annual vet check up a few weeks ago, and his blood work showed he was in good health overall, so I can only assume that his weight loss is due to his lack of appetite for the "improved" formula. I will echo what others have already said: the food smells rank, and I thought it had gone bad the first time I opened a can of the new formula. I believe Hill's was trying to get the price down (which they did) but in the process they sacrificed quality. I am switching to a different brand because I don't want my cat to starve himself any longer.

Great food, but small

By Beckie

from Oxford, MS

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Low Allergen Feline Dry Food:

Our cat loves the taste of the dry food, but the pieces are so small he struggles to eat individual pieces. Is there a reason for the small bits?

Very Dissapointed

By Lala7129

from Syracuse, NY, United States

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Low Allergen Feline Dry Food:

I have been feeding my cat z/d with great results until Hill's abruptly changed the formula, now the food no longer agrees with my cat. This is my third time posting this review as Hill's has rejected the first two negative reviews I posted. Disappointed in the food and Hill's customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Low Allergen Feline Dry Food:

My cat has been throwing up every night for the past 9 nine months..I have tried every procedure and help from the vet but to no avail....The Vet introduced me to Z/D and although it's beyond my means since my only income is S.S.I felt I had to do something. As of today, she has not thrown up and I'm so happy.... , .

"Improved Formula" does not agree with my cat

By Cat Woman

from Durham, United Kingdom

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Low Allergen Feline Dry Food:

My cat was prescribed this food about 4 years ago and it was amazing as his health improved dramatically. Unfortunately the formula has been changed and is no longer suitable for him.
