Product Details

Lysodren is used to help animals who suffer from pituitary-dependent Cushing's disease (hyperadrenocorticism). This disorder results in the adrenal gland producing excess hormone and Lysodren helps to normalize hormone levels and control associated symptoms.

What is Lysodren? This is an oral tablet that treats pituitary-dependent Cushing's disease (hyperadrenocorticism). It can also be used to treat some of the symptoms associated with adrenal gland tumors.

What are the benefits of Lysodren?
  • Easy to administer with a small amount of food or treat.
  • Helps to manage pituitary-dependent Cushings disease
  • Can also help palliate some symptoms related to adrenal gland cancer

Formulated for:dogs.

How is this medication given?Give exactly according to your veterinarians instructions. It is usually recommended to give this medication with a high fat treat or food to help increase absorption.

Your veterinarian will usually start your pet on a high dose at first and then gradually decrease the dose to the minimum dose to be effective. Your veterinarian will monitor your pet closely to make sure he/she is on the correct dose of medication. If you have questions about how to use Lysodren properly, always speak with your veterinarian.

How does this medication work? With Cushing's disease and some types of tumors, excess steroid hormone is produced. Lysodren helps the adrenal gland to produce less steroid hormone so levels can return to normal.

What results can I expect? Your pets symptoms associated with Cushings disease should improve with time but the response to Lysodren is individual. If Lysodren is helping, it is usually used chronically for the rest of your pets life.

        Comments about Lysodren:

These treats are amazing. My cat goes absolutely crazy to get to these. I've never seen her go this nuts for a treat. She gets so excited. She has a sensitive stomach (allergic my vet said) and I've had to find foods that don't make her throw-up. These treats don't make her throw up. They make me very happy because they make her very happy. I bought these at my Vet. By the way, they smell delish - I'm tempted to try one. :)

My cat will do tricks for this treat!

        Comments about Lysodren:

I first tried this treat out on my pet as a taste acceptance trial. She definitely loved it. She is very intelligent and I was able to teach her four different tricks ---High Five , Sit-Up, Turn Around, and Jump through the Hoop using the Hypoallergenic Treats as her reward. She is a cat so that's what I call the right incentive!

          Cats (2) come running!

          By ObispoCats

from Los Osos, Baywood-Los Osos, CA, USA

          Comments about Lysodren:

I have two cats, one is finicky and indifferent to food and she comes running almost as fast as the little glutton when I ring the treat bell. My vet recently stopped carrying these treats 'cuz I was the only one buying them - I'm gonna have to buy them online now.
