Amoxi-Drops contain Amoxicillin which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is highly effective in fighting susceptible bacterial infections when used as prescribed by your veterinarian.<br><br><b>Amoxi-Drops are: </b> a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is given orally in order to treat susceptible bacterial infections including certain skin, ear, and urinary tract infections. <br><br><b>What are the benefits? </b><ul>1.Liquid formulation allows for easy and accurate dosing in even the smallest of animals;2.Well absorbed;3.Can fight multiple species of bacteria in multiple body systems including the skin, ear, and urinary tract. <br><br><b>What outcomes can be expected? </b><br><br> Amoxicillin is absorbed well from the stomach and is carried by the blood stream to infected tissues. Your pet’s symptoms of infection should start to improve within a few days of starting medication but it may take giving all medication before the infection is completely resolved. If the entire course of medication is not completed, infection may return or worsen. Call your veterinarian if your pet seems to be worsening or is not improving while taking this medication. <br><br><b>Who is it for: </b>Veterinarians may prescribe Amoxi-Drops for dogs, cats, and other small animals.<br><br><b>How is it given? </b><br><br>1.Always follow your veterinarian’s prescribed directions. Mix powder with the proper quantity of water and shake well.<br><br>2.Give with food to decrease stomach upset. <br><br>3.Finish the entire course of medication as prescribed even if your pet starts to feel better early on or infection may recur or worsen. <br><br>4.Always ask your veterinarian if you do not know how to use Amoxi-Drops properly. <br><br><b>How does it work? </b> Amoxicillin works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls.<br><br><b>Amoxi-Drops are available as: </b>a powder that is mixed with water to create a liquid. It is available in 15ml and 30 ml bottles. <br><br><b>Generic Name:</b>Amoxicillin (Common Drug Name)<br><br><b>Common Brand Name:</b>Amoxi-Drops; other brands are available <br><br><b>Dose and Administration:</b>Mix powder with the correct amount of water and shake well before giving to your pet. Give with food.  Always follow your veterinarian’s instructions and finish all medication or infection can come back or get worse. <br><br>If you forget to give a dose of medication, give it when you remember but do not double dose. This medication should only be given to the animal that it has been prescribed. <br><br><b>Uses:</b>Amoxi-Drops contain Amoxicillin which is an antibiotic that is used to treat multiple susceptible bacterial infections. <br><br><b>Storage:</b>Store Amoxi-Drops in the refrigerator away from children and pets. Discard after 14 days. <br><br><b>Possible Side Effects: </b>This medication usually has very few side effects. The most commonly reported side effects include lack of appetite, drooling, vomiting, or diarrhea. Some animals may experience an allergic reaction to Amoxi-Drops but this is uncommon. Contact your veterinarian without delay if your pet is acting unusual in any way while taking this medication. <br><br><b>Precautions:</b>Amoxi-Drops  should not be given to animals who are allergic to penicillin or beta-lactam antibiotics such as cephalosporin. <br><br>Do not use this medication in rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters or other rodents because it can induce fatal diarrhea in these species. <br><br>Use cautiously in pregnant, nursing, or breeding animals. <br><br><b>Drug and Food Interactions: </b>Some vitamins, supplements, bacteriostatic antibiotics (such as erythromycin or tetracycline), probenecid, or methotrexate may interact with Amoxi-Drops. Tell your veterinarian about other medications and supplements your pet is taking to be sure that Amoxi-Drops can be given safely. <br><br><b>A prescription from your veterinarian is required to purchase Amoxi-Drops.</b>
