Product Details

Youll feel so much better when your dogs arthritis, joint, and post-surgical pain is relieved with Deramaxx. Deramaxx helps to maintain regular activity and quality of life by helping to decrease the inflammation that causes arthritis in dogs.

What is Deramaxx?Deramaxx is in a class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs).

What are the benefits of Deramaxx?
  • Helps relieve pain and inflammation associated with dog arthritis and other joint abnormalities.
  • Decreases pain associated with surgery.
  • Beef flavored, scored tablets makes Deramaxx easy to administer.

Formulated for: dogs (greater than 4 lbs) and should not be used in cats.
How is this medication given? Deramaxx is a tablet that is given orally (by mouth) once daily. Giving this medication with food can help reduce the chance of stomach/intestinal side effects. Only give this medication to the pet for which it was prescribed. For long-term use, the goal is to give the lowest dose needed to provide relief.

How does this medication work? Deramaxx is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that works by inhibiting the cell's production of chemicals that trigger inflammation. Arthritis in dogs and other forms of orthopedic and post-operative pain can be relieved with Deramaxx.

What results can I expect? Deramaxx does not cure dog arthritis or other joint abnormalities. It can effectively manage the pain and inflammation associated with your dogs condition. The response varies from dog to dog but can be dramatic. Pain relief can generally be seen within hours to days after administration. Symptoms may reoccur if Deramaxx is discontinued.

What form(s) does Deramaxx come in? scored beef-flavored tablets.

I have a 9-year-old Great Dane and she is doing great since starting on this product. She takes half of a 227 mg tablet a day and it has done wonders for her. She was having a lot of hip pain, but is now her playful self again. The tablets do crumble a bit when cut in half, but if you use a pill splitter it works better. We tried a couple of other meds, but she had some vomiting with them. We have used Deramaxx for roughly a year and she is doing GREAT! I can honestly say it has extended her life for another year and given her quality of life to boot!

Comments about Deramaxx Chewable Tablets For Dogs:

We are using it with radiation treatments to fight soft tissue sarcoma in dog's nasal and throat area. Keeps the swelling and pain down so that he can eat. Human anti-inflamatories like celebrex will cause internal bleeding in pets. Also, this med is combined with a powdered beef broth product, so that it doesn't taste that bad. Break it up, and wrap in a thin meat slices, or toss the pieces in a bowl of warmed meat such as chicken. It costs about [$] per day to treat a 110 pound animal, but it works.

So far this is the best pain relief product I have used for my dog, the biggest drawback would be the cost. But of course, any animal is worth what ever it takes to make them as pain free as possible :=)
