My english bulldog is highly sensitive and has food allergy. We tried him on several foods before finding Natural Balance sweet potato and fish. This food helped his digestive system and his coat. He was red all over, would paw at his face and eyes, and lick his paws all the time until we put him on this food. Since then we have tried other dog foods hoping that we could rotate, but one problem or another comes back. My only concern is that I wish it was a bit higher in protein.

I used this dog food when I ran out of my regular allergen free Duck and Potato dog food by another company. My dog has allergies and was placed on duck and potato because she is allergic to chicken and other things. Shiloh liked Natural Balance alot. Had no problems with her stools, no stomach upset. However, after 3 days of this allergen free potato and duck dog food, Shiloh was scratching again like crazy. I compared the canned dog food ingredients and the Natural Balance had more ingredients in it than her old dog food. My allergen free dog food for the most part was just duck and potato. I will say Shiloh was able to eat the potato and duck treats by Natural Balance because they just had duck potato, molasses, natural flavor, mixed tocopherols, and citric acid. The canned dog food and the dry have many more. So I suspect there is something in this food to which Shiloh is allergic as well. I won't be buying anything but the treats for her.

Comments about Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish Formula for Dogs:

I moved from the beach in North Carolina to northern New Hampshire .... In order to keep my dogs on this food (which they've been on for years) I would have had to drive 2 hours (each way) to obtain it. Luckily I found Pet360 and can have it autoshipped

Comments about Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish Formula for Dogs:

I fed my 3 dogs ( pitbull, king charles, and beagle) the L.I.D. lamb and brown rice dry dog food for years. I recently bought a new bag and all 3 dogs soon came down with horrible cases of diarrhea. I stopped feeding them the dry food and fed them boiled chicken. The diarrhea went away. A couple days later I slowly began adding the dry food back in to their diet and the diarrhea returned almost immediately, worse than it was before. Again, I stopped feeding them this food and switched to boiled chicken. Again, the diarrhea went away. I switched to a different brand of limited ingredient dog food and began adding that to their diet. The diarrhea did not return. I will never buy this brand of dog food again.
